Manipulative activities provides the Child with work that has a purpose.  Using their “tools”, (the Child’s eyes and hands), this work trains the memory muscle, fingers and fine motor skills to accomplish a practical task.  At the same time, such activities offer unique physical challenges that help children develop concentration and focus.
