Teachers use their experience to determine what is the most beneficial form of teaching for the student: group activities, paired or individually. Maria Montessori originally intended for lessons and presentations to be a one on one session. Research proved that the method of teaching depended upon the student and type of lesson. Group activities uses materials suited to working in groups.
