The philosophy of Montessori early childhood education is that every child is eager for work, even when the work seems like a chore to the adult. The activities of Practical Life train the Child to perform a task and lays down the foundations of organization skills and intelligence.

Nowhere is this premise more evident than in Washing, Cleaning & Hygiene exercises. Through these activities, children develop concentration, become aware of order and sequencing and gain control over their movements.  They become more independent, and learn to care for themselves, their hygiene requirements and their inside and outside environments.
