Description
Threading; or stringing beads; is a purposeful activity where the process is valued, as much as the end result. The direct objective of this exercise; threading large beads onto laces; develops and refines fine motor movements. It especially aids further development of bilateral coordination, which is how the two hands work together. The one shape puzzle in the gallery illustration is for size context only. You can purchase this puzzle separately.
Indirectly, the Child improves other skills;
- the development of concentration, and focus
- building their confidence, through developing a practical skill
- refining their dexterity, and hand-eye coordination
- receiving an introduction to colour identification, and building patterns
