Dressing frames are symbolic of the Montessori curriculum, forming part of the practical life category. Infant Toddler Dressing Frame – Buckling are strong and durable products to help the Child develop bilateral coordination skills required for dressing. Manipulating buckles helps the Child to develop fine motor muscles in their hands and fingers.
The primary purpose of presenting this activity to the Infant or Toddler, is to help them help them gain independence. Care of oneself, the ability to focus and improve their self-esteem are some of the other indirect objectives.
