Description
Perfect tool to perform sewing or needlework in the classroom, the Sewing or Embroidery Hoop consists of two concentric circular rings, one inside the other. The larger (outer) ring has a metal screw to tighten it.
An ideal activity for your Practical Life shelf. This is aimed at both the 3 to 6 and 6 to 9 year old child and encourages the development of hand-eye co-ordination, focus and a sense of fulfilment in producing a creative piece of work.
- Separate the 2 rings, lay the smaller (inner) ring flat on the table.
- Material, suitable for embroidery, is positioned over the smaller ring, ensuring that the work area of the material is centred over the ring.
- Place the larger ring over the material and tighten the metal screw.
- Ensure that the material is stretched as tightly as possible across the ring.
Hoops are generally small enough to control with one hand and rest in your lap.
