The 10ml amber glass dropper is excellent practice to improve the fine motor skills, and muscle control for the Child.
Objective of the 10ml Amber Glass Dropper
Using the dropper helps to-
- isolate the fine muscles that fingers used for writing
- strengthen the muscles in small hands
- practicing this activity improves coordination, control and patience
- working with glass; a breakable material; increases the Child’s focus and concentration
Exercises
1) Decant a little water into an ice tray. Add a 2 or 3 drops of oil and various food colouring, to the water in the tray. Use the large dropper to transfer colored water, onto a piece of paper, to make different shapes and to mix colors.
2) Drop droplets of colored water onto a cotton wool ball using the 10 ml amber glass dropper and see how quickly it is absorbed.
