About Margo Branch, the author of Exploring the Seashore
Margo Branch is an award-winning marine scientist, author, and illustrator of this book. Her main objective was to develop a book that was both educational, informative and interesting enough to pique children’s’ interest. She has also collaborated with the Two Oceans Aquarium to develop the educational programs there, and “Coastcare” which is a poster series on marine life.
Margo and her husband, George Branch, have spent a lifetime, exploring the South African coastal shores. Working together, she has gathered a great deal of research. Together they have published 250 scientific papers on marine biology.
