Description
Around the age of 3 to 4, children will begin to do their own exploration and discovery in nature. The Child matches real leaves to the cards and the insets to the cards, thus developing visual discrimination.
This material sparks the Child’s interest and work in the area of botany. Initially, the leaf shapes are used for tracing the shapes, and comparing and matching the leaf shapes to real leaves that have dropped off the plants. Next, the Child uses these Leaf Cards to find the matching inset in the cabinet, and then they begin to move from the concrete to the abstract.

This activity is sometimes overlooked in my opinion. At first I thought it was pricey, but after receiving it and seeing the quality I think its worth it.
