Description

In the Montessori literacy curriculum, we use concrete objects, like the helm object to teach words phonetically.  The objects are found in the ‘I spy’ game, and the phonetic three- and four-letter word building, and reading activities.  This small object plays a big role in helping the Child to learn to read.  One of the 4-letter words found in the Blue Reading series is the helm object.

The yellow, 4-bead stair in the photograph with the helm, provides a comparison to size.  We sell the coloured bead stair as well.

Features of the Helm Object

• made from resin,  the helm looks very realistic
• 4 cm x 3.5 cm x 1 cm / ( 1½” x 1¼” x ¼” )
