Description
Diverse equipment in the practical life classroom is important. The Child uses a range of various gross, or fine motor muscles for each appliance. In the case of our egg slicers, we try to offer more than one version. This round egg slicer requires extra concentration to hold the base, as the Child closes the cutting lines. Ideally, these implements are smaller, to fit the young Child’s hands.
So often adults don’t realise that the most ordinary things we do, are in actual fact a brand new discovery for the young child, who joyfully engages with this new activity. Teachers present the correct way to use any implement to the Child, before allowing them to use the equipment under supervision.
