Our Story
Childrens House began in 2005 when Kirsty, a Montessori teacher, needed to purchase materials for her classroom. She discovered that there was effectively no one supplying the Montessori materials she needed in the market.
She secured a partnership with Nienhuis, initially to supply her own school, and then began supplying other Montessori schools.
Ten years later, Childrens House began manufacturing its own range of Montessori materials, established its warehouse, and launched its webshop.
Today, Childrens House supplies customers in more than 30 countries every year, working with distributors across continents including Brazil, Canada, Australia and the European Union. Childrens House also supplies more than 100 schools every year in the USA with curriculum support materials.
In 2022, Montessori Search Partners was launched as a division focused exclusively on placing Montessori Guides and Heads of School. The division grew from the experience of advising Montessori schools and supplying them with materials, where we repeatedly encountered schools that also needed help finding the right people. The demand for this specialist service led to the creation of Montessori Search Partners.
In 2025, Childrens House launched its web service applications, Attend and MAT. In 2026, Childrens House launched Art by Childrens House, its dedicated webstore for art materials.
