Farmington Valley Montessori School

Primary Montessori Guide (Ages 3โ€“6)

Avon, Connecticut

About the School

The Head of School, Sharon Healy, recognized the need for a Montessori School that uses a curriculum based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s philosophy, but at the same time is responsive to the academic expectations of the 21st Century.ย

The Farmington Valley Academy Montessori seeks to fully prepare students to succeed academically, while simultaneously preserving in each student, self-confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning. Students are exposed to many off campus experiences designed to further enrich their development and help each individual reach his/her fullest potential. Field trips, special subjects, sports and community outreach programs contribute to the optimal environment the school creates.

The Role
