Lead Infant / Toddler Teacher (Ages 3–36 months)

A well-established Montessori school in New Hampshire is seeking a Lead Infant / Toddler Guide to join its community for the 2026–2027 school year.

About the Role

The Lead Infant / Toddler Teacher will guide a mixed-age environment serving children from 3 to 36 months. The role requires a deep understanding of Montessori principles for the first plane of development, with an emphasis on observation, respect, independence, and emotional security.

The classroom is supported by a collaborative team and leadership that prioritizes stability, strong communication, and a calm, well-functioning environment.

Experience & Requirements

  • 3–5 years experience working with infants and/or toddlers preferred
  • Criminal background check and health clearance required
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ideal Candidate

  • The ideal candidate holds an AMI or AMS Lower Elementary credential (MACTE-accredited strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and multi-age learning environments
  • Has experience differentiating instruction to meet a range of developmental needs
  • Brings positive, effective classroom management and strong organizational skills
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with families and colleagues
  • Values collaboration and contributes positively to school culture
  • Is reflective, flexible, and committed to professional growth
