Description
This activity lays the foundation for further work with sentence analysis. The Verb Command Cards start with a simple one verb, preposition and one noun phrase. This set builds up to contain two action verbs, preposition and two objects. Child/ren read the complex sentences and have a lot of fun acting out the instructions, which link to activities in the other environments, eg ‘fill a jug’ relates to the Practical Life Environment. This work makes learning to read with comprehension fun.

The commands in this verb set are cleverly worded. My set has been used a lot in the environment.
