There are two types of tundra which are arctic, and alpine. The tundra biome folder depicts the hardy flora, and fauna that make up the different aspects of this the harshest of all biomes. Arctic tundra is a treeless region, along the northern coasts of North America, Asia, Europe, and parts of Greenland. High mountain elevations are home to the alpine tundra.

We suggest that the teacher expands on this information, as projects for the children to work upon. Due to differing sources of information on current tundra biome placement, the highlighted area on the map should be used as a guide for the Child, rather than a definitive boundary.
