Description
The Montessori methodology of teaching, starts with writing, before the Child learns to read. They start with the sandpaper letters – cursive print, a set of boards, each with a rough textured cursive letter of the alphabet. The function of the rough texture, is to further reinforce their learning experience, as the Child sounds out the letter of the alphabet, while tracing the letter. Their fingertip is stimulated through the rough surface, triggering tactile nerve-endings the feeling of which will be absorbed by memory muscle.

Great product! Many productive hours have been spent using our sandpaper letters that we bought from Childrens House. What a gift to teach children to read in this way.
