Introducing the Knobless Cylinder Cards: Set B – Enhancing Your Child’s Cognitive Development

The cards set B activity, is an extension to the 4 sets of knobless cylinders, and is designed to expand your child’s learning experiences.  The cards are primarily used by the Child to practice visual discrimination by recognising colours, and dimensions, in both width, and height.  They provide endless opportunities for exploration, and growth.

Purpose of the Knobless Cylinder Cards – Set B

• The main objective:
  • the Child learns to perceive subtle variations in
    • dimensions
    • size
    • height
    • circumference, and to
  • recognize differences, and similarities (when using more than one set)
• Indirectly, the Child improves:
  • their hand-eye coordination
  • and refines their fine, and gross motor skills, promoting dexterity, and control
  • focus, concentration, and problem-solving skills, which are all enhanced
  • and gives get a sense of autonomy; growing their confidence, and self-esteem
• This activity teaches children to work independently, and provides a means of self-checking their results
• We sell the knobless cylinders, in the photographs, separately

Contents and Dimensions

• a total of 8 double-sided cards with exercises for the red, blue, green and yellow cylinders
• 2 cards for each individual set of cylinders
  • printed with an exercise on each side of the card i.e. 2 exercises per card
  • 40 x 10 cm / (16″ x 4″)
