Description

What are The Constructive Blue Triangles?

The Constructive Blue Triangles are all painted blue, and identical in size.  As an extension to the traditional Montessori activity; the 5 boxes of Constructive Triangles; this activity will challenge children.

Using all their previous experience; gained through their prior work; the Child now attempts to make as many different geometric shapes from these 12 identical right-angled scalene triangles.  The constructive blue triangle activity set has a number of exercises that allows the Child to work independently, and self-check their answers.

Objectives of The Constructive Blue Triangles

  • the direct objective is to
    • further develop the Child’s experience of right-angled scalene triangles
    • to make as many different triangles and quadrilaterals, as possible, by manipulating the triangles
  • indirectly, the Child;
    • learns about geometry
    • improves their ability to understand shape, area, and solve problems
    • learns how many things in life are made up of triangles
    • places triangles together, and learns to make an independent third shape
    • improves their creative skills
  • this activity is standard support material for all geometric curricula

Features – The beautifully made shapes, are matte blue, and very smooth to the touch

  • Solid beechwood for cylinder blocks, pink towers, dressing frames and brown stairs.
  • Birchply for trays, holders and animal and botany puzzles.
  • MDF for puzzle maps
  • Pineply for boxes and containers

We ensure that the coatings and inks used are not only eco-friendly, but also non-toxic.

Our wooden products are manufactured by responsible partner factories both locally and abroad and ensure that fair labour practices are adopted.
