About the author
Mike Bruton was born in 1946, and educated in a town called East London, a city found along South Africa’s east coast. He studied at Rhodes University under Professor J.L.B Smith himself, becoming an Ichthyologist. Additionally, he qualified as a science educator, and author who specialises in fish biology, and conservation. He has given talks all around the world, and written a range of books about the Coelacanth, and other topics. He has received multiple awards for his dedication, and contribution to science.
