Description
The Montessori language curriculum represents parts of speech with the use of symbols. Verbs are symbolised in the form of a red sphere (3-D) or circle (2-D). The Tenses Box represents verbs that indicate when an action occurs. This activity uses 10 different action words, verbs (on red card), in three different tenses; the past, present and future tense. The Child is invited to sort each verb under the correct header card. This introduces the concept of categorising verbs to the Child, and explains the concept and meaning of a ‘tense’, in the English language.

Fantastic activity to explain the verb tenses. I far prefer a quality material like this then trying to make a homemade one myself. It makes such a difference for the children.
