Description
There are two major kinds of grasslands in the world. This product discusses the temperate grasslands. We address the alternative, tropical grasslands separately. High resolution images of the grasslands describe the temperate grassland biome in the folder. Known as Pampas Grass in South America, and the prairies in the Midwest of USA, the grasslands cover a wide expanse of the land in every continent.
This product; one of 10 different biomes; will introduce the Child to a variety of images, and facts about humans, flora, and fauna that call the grasslands their home. This material is not intended to be an exhaustive supply of images; and information; for all the grassland environments in the world. We suggest that the teacher expands on this information, as projects for the children to work upon. Use the highlighted areas on the map as a guide for the Child, rather than a definitive boundary. This is due to the climate changes that impact each biome.
