Description
Using this material, the Table of Pythagoras – Sensorial Decanomial, the child places the squares and rectangles in order by size and color to complete the square of the decanomial. The main purpose of this activity is to help children learn how to discriminate size, shape and colour. It is also preparation for mathematics.
The material consists of a 10 compartment beech wood box for storing the sets of color-coded wooden MDF squares and rectangles.

Feature School – Elliot Academy
The Elliot Academy is a division of Brylin Independent Learning Centre. Brylin boasts a 2.1 ha site in the centre of Port Elizabeth, Gqberha, in a suburb called Fairview. There are three divisions of the school, namely the Elliot Academy which is comprised of a Montessori babies and toddlers class, and a Pre-Primary and Primary school. Learners are accepted from 6 months of age into the environment and experience the Montessori babies, toddlers, Pre Primary and Primary up until Grade 7. The school is small at 60 learners and there is capacity for 120 learners.
