Description
The soft fruit cutter is the perfect first, or second knife. Involving the Child in household tasks; including the preparation of food snacks; teaches them independence, and improves their self-esteem. The task of cutting soft fruit develops control of their fine motor skills, as they learn to work carefully.
Why start off with a real knife?
- the Child learns about working with serious implements that need to be handled with respect, and care
- focuses on the task at hand to prevent injury, or quickly learn the consequence to their actions
