Description
Small Tongs are the tool that the Child uses to practice their transferring work, normally food. This is a great way to develop fine and gross motor skills, build coordination and independence. Using tongs with transfer work allows the child through repetition to develop focus and concentration! Transferring work with tongs (gripping the tongs, squeezing to pickup the items, then releasing them) uses similar actions and muscles that are required to cut with a pair of scissors.
