Description

When the Montessori Child has begun to work with the green reading series, they are ready to work with the Singular and Plural Box 2.  At this stage children are reading sentences, and so they are now working with more complex plural words.  The facilitator is pivotal in this role.  S/he will have observed the Child’s advancement, and will know when they are ready to start this more complex work.  The 2nd set of the material, is similar to the first box.  There are miniature objects representing each word.  In addition there are singular; and plural; header cards, under which the Child must place the correct word.  Note:  Objects supplied may differ from the ones represented in the product photo.

Features of the Singular and Plural Box 2:

• the direct objective for the Child is to:
  • understand the concept of one; ‘singular’; or more than one ‘plural’
• indirectly, the Child:
  • expands their vocabulary
  • can read with understanding
  • develops self-confidence, focus, and concentration
• aimed at the lower elementary age
• the cards have a black background, indicating that these are nouns
• aligned to the Montessori language curriculum

• 2 header cards
• 8 sets of word cards, with miniature objects
  • Note: Objects supplied, may differ from the ones represented in the product photo; due to availability of individual objects; but there will always be 8 sets of objects.
• a plastic container with lid

• cards – 4.5cm x 3cm / (1¾” x 1″)
• plastic container – 11cm x 8cm x 6.5cm / (4¼” x 3″ x 2½”)
