Description
Ideally, children must be “phonemically aware, understand the alphabetic principle, apply these skills in a rapid and fluent manner, possess strong vocabularies and syntactical and grammatical skills, and relate reading to their own experiences.” These are the skills that will produce a good reader, and they start long before the Child enters kindergarten. Working with the Sentence Analysis Working Chart will help develop strong comprehension skills, and provide the Child with a strong foundation to reading.
This activity, forms the basis of analyzing what is being read and what the meaning of the story is. It develops an appreciation of sentence structure and illustrates (indirectly) to the Child, how the style of the sentence is developed. This leads to total reading and creative writing. Use this product with the sets of arrows and circles for sentence analysis.
Note: we sell the set of arrows and circles for sentence analysis, shown in the illustration, seperately.
