Description
There are two major kinds of grasslands in the world. This product discusses the savanna or tropical grasslands. We address the alternative, temperate grasslands separately. As can be imagined, the savanna biome folder is dominated with beautiful, high resolution images of grasslands, with scattered trees and shrubs. Savannas form transition zones between forests, scrub lands, and deserts.
This product; one of 10 different biomes; will introduce the Child to a variety of images, and facts about humans, flora, and fauna that call the savanna their home. This material is not intended to be an exhaustive supply of images, and information for all the savanna environments in the world. We suggest that the teacher expands on this information, as projects for the children to work upon. Due to differing sources of information on current biome placements, the highlighted areas on the map should be used as a guide for the Child, rather than a definitive boundary.
