Description
English is one of the more complex languages. This means that even after children have mastered the pink, blue and green reading series, there will still be a large number of ‘other’ sounds. These are the exceptions to the rule. To help the Child learn these ‘other’ sounds, we developed this activity, phonogram word lists for double sandpaper letters. It is advisable to introduce these word lists, together with the double sandpaper letters, to continue the Montessori methodology of teaching.

Examples of the double letters found in the Phonogram Word Lists:

- extend their vocabulary

- this extension supports the Montessori language curriculum
- these type of activities prepare the Child for ‘complete reading’
