Description
One of the main roles of a fruit is to spread the seeds, and allow the plant to reproduce. Therefore, all flowering plants, produce fruit; regardless of whether the fruit is edible; sweet, or soft. Fruits are the mature and ripened ovaries of flowers. This activity; the Parts of a Fruit Activity; expands the Child’s knowledge, and improves vocabulary skills.
The activity set introduces a booklet; which provides an overview of the subject matter; definition cards, and 3-part cards. Depending upon the development of the Child, parts of this activity can presented to the 3 to 6 year old, but it is mainly aimed at the 6 to 9 environment.

Features of the Parts of a Fruit Activity:

- further develop their understanding of the definition of these parts

Contents of the Parts of a Fruit Activity:
- a 10 page booklet, providing an overview of the activity
- one page has an illustration of the part being discussed
- the opposite page has a brief description, and definition of that illustration
- 5 sets of 3-part cards, each set has a control, a mute and label card
- 5 sets of definition cards, each set has:
- 1 card, with a complete definition,
- 2nd card with a redacted word that the Child must answer
- sold in a transparent, plastic A6 envelope
