Description
The Montessori language curriculum presents the different parts of speech as a sensorial experience, with coloured symbols. Nouns are the first part of speech and represented by a large black pyramid. The Child will be introduced to nouns as ‘naming words’ and their first experience is to match a word to an image. The three Noun Boxes, hold 10 word cards in each, building in complexity. The words are printed in white on a black background, to reflect their function as a noun. This activity is used in the grammar exercises as child/ren analyze the sentences using a combination of words and symbols.
