Description
Music makes a person feel happy, upbeat or relaxed. It touches us on an emotional level, influencing our mood, and affects the functioning of the brain. Research shows that music is fundamental in early childhood education. Children develop in various ways, including problem solving, and logic skills. Musical songs with meter, rythmn and words, help to improve their ear for language. This product, the Musical Instruments in the Classroom – 3 Part Cards, is a great way to introduce children to the music vocabulary, that can be matched to the actual musical instruments found in the 3 to 6 environment. This activity introduces the Child to the correct nomenclature for each instrument, and provides the teacher with an opportunity to present the Child with various types of music.
These classified cards are a great match for many of the musical instruments sold by Childrens House, e.g. the maracas, guiro scraper (which sounds similar to the crow sounder), and tambourine.

The cards are printed on quality material. The images are clear and crisp. The choices of the instuments are clever because they tend to be the most common instruments that one would have in the classroom.
