Description

The Life Cycle of Grasshopper Objects features 4 miniature objects.  The three stages of a grasshopper’s life is the incomplete metamorphosis, from egg to nymph to an adult.  These objects form an integral part of the Montessori teaching, providing a tangible learning resource for the Child.  Handling the objects, the Child’s muscles absorb the look and feel of the individual parts of the grasshopper, allowing them to always visualise the objects when these insects are mentioned.

Use this product with the Life Cycle of the Grasshopper Activity to expand the Child’s grasp of vocabulary and improve the development of their reading skills.

Life Cycle of Grasshopper Objects:

• 4 plastic miniature objects describing 3 life stages of this insects’ metamorphosis
• the mother gives birth to eggs
• 2 young wingless nymphs, also known as molts, who moult 5 times before the adult stage
• adult grasshopper, this is the final stage. It takes approximately 1 month for the wings to develop – 9 cm / (3.5″)
