Description
The Introduction to Decimal System, provides a visual and physical image of the decimal system 1 to 1000. The purpose of this material is to demonstrate place value and the concept that a decimal category can not be more than 9.
In the Montessori environment, children as young as 4 begin learning about the decimal system. This is taught through their work with the bead material. Use the place value working mat to help them master their understanding of Base Ten system.

I just love the beads from Childrens House, they are accurate and fit alongside each other so nicely for presentations.
