Description
Infants and toddlers are naturally inclined to post objects into boxes. This activity allows them to easily recover the shape and do it again whilst they learn the principle of object permanence, as well as improving their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Childrens House offer a wide range of traditional Imbucare boxes, which introduce the infant to the concept of object permanence. The Imbucare box with cube, a square wooden box with a square opening on top, allows the infant to post the cube into the box and retrieve it through the hole on the side.
Features of the Imbucare Box with Cube:
- the direct objective of this material:
- infants become familiar with object permanence, learning that the object continues to exist, even when you cannot “see” it
- indirectly, the infant / toddler:

- enables them to recognise the look, feel and shape of a cube
- improves fine motor skills
Contents of the Imbucare Box with Cube:

My twins absolutely loved this. This product came beautifully and neatly wrapped. The wood is durable and it is light enough that they can carry it around and manipulate it themselves.
