Description
Learning grammar, as its own discipline, allows children to develop a deeper appreciation for written and spoken language, to master and manipulate it in their own communication. (read more..) This is why the Montessori teacher introduces the subject to the pre-school Child. Initially, they work with the concrete form, the solid grammar symbols. When they are ready, the teacher introduces them to the Grammar Symbols and their Definitions. This material helps the Child to work with the concrete activity, in order to slowly understand the abstract concepts.
The A4 sheet acts as their control card, with individual images of each shape, and a matching label. A further use of these cards, is for the analysis of sentences, enabling the Child to develop a deeper appreciation for written, and spoken language.
