Description

This classification exercise, the Farm Animals Family Group, is an extension to the 3-part cards, depicting farm animals and the farm animals and their young. This material can be combined with the image cards from the farm animals and their young 3-part cards, as the “animal families” activity from KUW culture.

This is not a matching exercise, however, it emphasizes the filial bond making up family groups.  These groups embed the vocabulary introduced through the 3-part cards, mentioned above, and present various aspects of the world around the Child.

The direct objective of this activity, helps to expand the young Child’s vocabulary, and indirectly prepares them for reading.  This activity forms part of the Montessori curriculum.

Contents of Farm Animals Family Group Cards

• 14 cards illustrating family groups of farm animals,
• cat, chicken, donkey, duck, sheep, ostrich, horse, goose, turkey, pig, rabbit, goat, cattle, dog,
• vibrantly coloured, high definition images of real animals,
• children are attracted to the beautiful illustrations and want to review them again, and again,
• delivered in a plastic envelope to store the cards on the shelves.
