It is important to note, that the classified cards, Etenstyd – 3 Deel Kaarte, are for children studying Afrikaans, either as a first or second language.

Sitting down to eat at a dining room table is a very special time in the Child’s day.  The Child and their family have an opportunity to bond, communicate their experiences of the day, and help each other to celebrate or discuss situations, that occurred during the day.  More than anything else, it provides the Child with an opportunity to experience new, and interesting foods, learn how to socialise, and behave in polite society.

The Etenstyd – 3 Deel Kaarte, will go a long way to help the Child develop strong vocabulary skills, and indirectly begin the process of learning to read.  As this is a large set of classified cards, 30 in total, we recommend that the teacher initially selects between 5 and 6 sets for the Child to work with.  Once they have worked through these cards, they move onto the next selection.  The full pack starts with simple words, building to more complex words.
