Description

The practical life classroom requires a number of basic products; one of which is a bowl; similar to this deep, round bowl with a diameter of 11cm.  Working with “real” products, is very important.  Teachers observe children at work, looking for ‘teachable opportunities’.  Drop this bowl, and it will break.  This accident can be a positive ‘teachable opportunity’.   Children’s reactions to this type of accident could be emotional.  Under the supervision of the teacher the Child learns that this is only an accident, and how to clean up the broken pieces of the bowl carefully, and then dispose the broken shards safely.
