Description

After the Child masters the cut-out numerals and counters, we suggest you introduce this activity to them.  The cut-out numerals and counters activity set extends their understanding of how to use and understand the concrete numbers and entrenches the concept of odd and even numbers.  This activity set is an extension to the concrete material.  The exercises help the Child understand the abstract form of numbers, and they instinctively absorb a deeper understanding how to manipulate numbers.

Features of the Cut-Out Numerals and Counters Activity Set:

• 50 cards, displaying either a number or a counter (symbol),
• 2 additional cards with written instructions,
• 4 header cards instructing the Child how to complete each exercise,
• the complexity of the exercises increases with each different level of header card,
• the answers are printed on the back of each card, as the control of error
• each Child can work independently and self-check themselves,
• all cards are stored and displayed in an acrylic stand.  This stand sits on the shelf and saves space.
• Use the Memory Cards as an activity to help the Child memorise the visual number, and relate it to the quantity of beads or counters
