Description
A compass is a tool to find direction. A simple compass is a magnetic needle, mounted on a pin. The needle can spin freely, but always points along the Earth’s magnetic line, towards magnetic north. Using the Compass 3 Part Cards, a magnetized pin; and a bit of patience; you can make your own compass.
The earth’s magnetic poles are not the same as the geographic North and South poles. The geographic poles are found at the very top and bottom of a globe, but the magnetic poles float freely nearby.
