Requirements:

– ⁠Montessori certification for ages 3-6 (absolute requirement)
⁠- Deep understanding of Montessori teaching methods in all Montessori environments
– Current pediatric first aid training
– SACE registration (absolute requirement)
– Computer skills – competency (MS Word and Excel)
– Competent in making materials and maintaining existing materials in all environments
– Promoting the guiding ethics of self-awareness, community awareness and global awareness to build a strong and peaceful community
– Excellent communication (with children, parents, and staff)
– Organised, with good admin skills

Daily Duties:

– Plan and deliver weekly Montessori lesson plans
– Record child observations daily (using the Childcare online platform)
⁠- Communicate with parents daily (in-person and digitally)
⁠- Write 2 progress reports each semester
– ⁠Prepare student workbooks each term
⁠- Guide and mentor Montessori students doing professional placement (once a year)
