The Sewing or Embroidery Hoop consists of two concentric circular rings, one inside the other. The larger (outer) ring has a metal screw to tighten it.
An ideal activity for your Practical Life shelf. This is aimed at both the 3 to 6 and 6 to 9 year old child and encourages the development of hand-eye co-ordination, focus and a sense of fulfilment in producing a creative piece of work.
- Separate the 2 rings, lay the smaller (inner) ring flat on the table.
- Material, suitable for embroidery, is positioned over the smaller ring, ensuring that the work area of the material is centred over the ring.
- Place the larger ring over the material and tighten the metal screw.
- Ensure that the material is stretched as tightly as possible across the ring.
Hoops are generally small enough to control with one hand and rest in your lap.
Contents: Inner ring is 15.5cm; outer ring is 16cm.
