Balance Board for Hands helps improve movement. This Balance Board requires the Child to keep 2 small metal ball bearings balanced in the channel. This channel forms the design of a maze on this board. By tilting the board to the left and right the Child can control the direction of both balls. You can also control the speed at which they run along the channel. This requires both the gross and fine motor muscles to work in conjunction with each other.
Movement is a fundamental part of the Practical Life curriculum. Children must develop their gross muscles to help improve their balance. Controlling the balls on the balance board requires; your core muscles to be engaged, your eyes focussed on the board and for you to control your breathing.
