JP-Geography. Very young children are very insular and focus directly on the world that impacts them. During the ages of 6 to 9 they begin to realise that there is a lot “more” outside of their direct circle. Encourage their natural curiosity by bringing the different worlds to them via maps, globes, cultures and pretend play. Children are naturally drawn to adventure – they are fascinated to discover that there are other children in the world who have a different experience of life to their own.
Childrens House has developed a range of products to explain the world to children in interesting, exciting and informative ways to support the teachers’ method of teaching. Additionally, geography involves many transferable skills, such as research, observation, measurement, recording and presentation.
