CH - Practical Life

CH – Practical Life.  Children’s initial learning curve, is to learn how they fit into their environment and family circle.
They do this by absorbing all the actions going on around them, starting with the daily tasks performed by mother and father, noting how they care for their children and themselves. This includes the hospitality rituals and how others are treated.
The Toddler begins to mimic these actions and so develops his or her own version of what he or she perceives in the reflected actions of others.
Routines and rituals provide the child with natural comfort and security to grow their own self-confidence in how to act.
The materials used in the Practical Life section, are scaled to suit the Toddler’s height and abilities, ensuring that safety and comfort of use is paramount.
