Mountains are there for Exploring

Childrens House is so lucky to operate out of one of the most beautiful places in the world, surrounded by mountains.   You may ask why does that matter?  Well, Parts of a Mountain are our featured new range of Classified Cards this week.

Did you know that Table Mountain is at least as old and maybe even older than the Himalayas? and according to Wikipedia in their article on Table Mountain Sandstone, it is made up predominantly of quartzitic sandstone laid down between 510 and 400 million years ago. This quartzitic sandstone is on top of a granite base.

Using the Parts of a Mountain Classified Cards, The Child will be able to increase their vocabulary.  Having a robust vocabulary improves all areas of communication – listening, speaking, reading and writing and for the young Child, their next big step is increasing the complexity of their writing and reading.
