Childrens House recently produced 5 new products called Life Cycle Activity Sets. They feature 5 well known subjects; the Chicken, Frog, Green Bean Plant, Turtle and Ladybird.
Life cycles are all around us. They are part of us and part of every living thing. Explaining and illustrating life cycles can be an important milestone for children, helping them to learn how better to respect and care for those around them. This can help children to understand and deal with everyday changes and growth around them.
This comprehensive activity guides the 3 to 9 year old child through their learnings and understanding of the life cycle of the chicken. The holistic approach to this material takes the Child from the concrete to the abstract. Note: the objects are sold separately
Teaching about life cycles is more about the wonder of the cosmic world, about sequencing and vocabulary than the science. These different aspects of the activity, nomenclature, working sheet with objects (which are sold separately), images and labels and definition cards are beautifully represented here.
All the Childrens House activities are carefully designed to integrate with the life cycle objects, as recommended by the AMI approved curriculum. The beautifully detailed, stunningly coloured images are color-coded to match the Montessori Animal Kingdom classification.
