Farmington Valley Montessori School (FVAM) is seeking a Toddler Assistant.
Starting at 15 months, children in the toddler program, discover a world designed for their growth. They grow towards independence, taking on meaningful responsibilities, and develop a deep appreciation for their surroundings and environment while building a sense of order and trust.

The toddler program develops in each child a sense of centeredness, a positive self image achieved through self awareness and equips him/her to move with ease into the primary program. Toddlers change their focus from being self centered to experiencing the value of friendship and the interconnectedness within the classroom and school community.
The Toddler Assistant supports the daily operation of the classroom and helps guide children through routines, activities, and learning experiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with young children and who may wish to pursue Montessori training in the future.
This role may be structured as a half-day classroom position, or combined with our aftercare program to create a full-day position.
The ideal candidate will:
Candidates with Montessori experience or those interested in pursuing Montessori training in the future are particularly encouraged to apply.
Half-Day Position: Morning classroom support during the school day (8:30 till 12:30pm)
Full-Day Position: Morning classroom support combined with afternoon aftercare supervision (8:15 till 4:15pm)
The school year runs from the end of August through June, with optional opportunities to work in the school’s summer program.
Compensation may vary depending on experience and role structure.
