Position Overview
Greene Towne Montessori School is seeking a Toddler Lead Guide to join its All-Day Montessori program serving children ages 18 months to 3 years.
This role supports a consistent, full-day Montessori environment designed to provide continuity of care, relationships, and learning across an extended school day. The Toddler Lead Guide works within a collaborative teaching team to uphold a high-fidelity Montessori environment while supporting each child’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.

The school serves approximately 200 students from toddler through elementary levels and is dedicated to fostering independence, agency, and a lifelong love of learning in each child.
About the All-Day Montessori Program
Greene Towne’s All-Day Montessori program is designed for families seeking a consistent, extended-day Montessori experience. The program minimizes transitions and maintains continuity of environment, relationships, and pedagogy throughout the day.
- Program hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Children are supported by morning and afternoon teaching teams
- Families may enroll on a 9-month or 12-month basis
- The program supports the full developmental needs of the child: physical, emotional, social, and cognitive
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a developmentally appropriate Montessori toddler environment
- Guide children in developing independence, coordination, language, and social awareness
- Plan and deliver Montessori lessons aligned with toddler development
- Collaborate closely within a 6-person classroom team (lead and two assistants in the morning shift, and the same structure in the afternoon shift)
- Supervise, mentor, and support Assistant Teachers
- Ensure consistency and continuity of the classroom experience across the full-day program
- Observe, document, and assess student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student development and classroom activity
- Communicate regularly and proactively with families
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Program Structure
- All-Day Montessori classroom (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM coverage)
- Co-lead teaching model with shared classroom responsibility
- This role aligns with the afternoon schedule (approximately 10:45 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Year-round (12-month position)
- Approximately four consecutive weeks of vacation annually
Qualifications
- Montessori credential (AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited)
- Infant & Toddler (0–3) strongly preferred
- Early Childhood (3–6) considered with relevant toddler experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Montessori environment (toddler experience preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead within a collaborative teaching model
- Strong organizational and classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Transparent Classroom and Google Suite is an advantage
